- They evolved diverse
The earliest dinosaurs were bird-like and were classified into two groups: Saurischia (lizard-like) and Ornithischia (bird-like). The former did not give rise to modern birds. The two groups of dinosaurs diverged into a group that included bipedal predators known as theropods. Theropod fossils show similarities to bird bones, including the wishbone, which was formed by fusing the clavicles together.
- They were warm-blooded
A new study from the University of Adelaide has discovered that dinosaurs were warm-blooded, not cold-blooded like reptiles. Researchers argued that cold-blooded dinosaurs would have been too weak and not able to prey on other animals and that warm-blooded dinosaurs dominated mammals during the Mesozoic period. This new discovery has led to fierce debate over whether dinosaurs were warm-blooded or cold-blooded.

While the exact types of plants dinosaurs ate are still being investigated, many experts agree that these creatures probably consumed a wide variety of leafy plants. Some species were herbivorous, such as brontosaurus, which was more of a scavenger than a predator. The majority of dinosaurs were herbivorous, meaning they would have been able to pick up and chew on leaves and other plant material. Some species, however, had distinctive tastes.

We all know that dinosaurs walked on all fours, but did you know that some of them were bipeds? Some dinosaurs only walked on their hind legs, while others walked on all fours all the time. The researchers were able to compare the ratio of the upper leg bone to the upper arm bone of 81 dinosaur specimens to several large-bodied reptiles and mammals. If the ratio was smaller, the dinosaur was probably a quadruped, as the forelimbs would have developed thicker when they were putting weight on their forelimbs.
