You will then need to create 45 degree angle at each end of one piece of cardboard. Lay one piece of cardboard flat on your work area. On the right 6 inch side measure 1 centimeter from the edge and mark it, draw a line from one 12-inch side to the other 12 inch side leaving the centimeter of space between your line and the edge of the right hand side, and this will be line A. Then measure 6 inches from line A across the top and make a small mark. Draw a line from the spot you marked to the bottom of line A, and this line will be line B leaving you with a 45 degree triangle.

On the left hand side of your cardboard measure from the edge towards the right 1 centimeter and mark the spot, draw a line from one 12-inch side to the other 12 inch side leaving the centimeter of space between your line and the edge of the left hand side, and this will be line C. Measure from 6 inches across the bottom and mark the spot then from the spot draw a line from the spot to the top of line C, and this will be line D.

Use the hot glue gun to place a small line of glue on line B then place the edge of your mirror on the glue with the mirror side facing line D. The same will need to be done on line D with the mirror facing line B.

After your glue has dried then place a line of glue along the top edge of both mirrors B and D. Then place a strip of your cardboard along the top making sure that it is even with the bottom piece of cardboard apply light pressure to secure the glue allowed to dry.

Flip your periscope onto its side, from the left hand side measure 3 inches from the mirror along the 12 inch side and place your strip of cardboard to close in your periscope. Make sure that it is even on both sides, and then apply a line of glue along the edges to secure the cardboard, and allow it to dry. After the glue has dried then use a pair of scissors to clip off the additional cardboard on the right hand side.

You have clipped off the additional cardboard flip the periscope over to the opposite side, and do the exact same thing, only measure from the right hand side towards the left 3 inches, place the cardboard, and apply a line of hot glue along both edges after the glue has dried clip off the additional cardboard. Stand the periscope on one end and place the six-by-six square on the top and go around the edges with a line of glue, and now your Periscope is complete.
